Lindsey & Chad wrapped up my wedding season with the last wedding of 2013 for me… and what a great way to end this year! A gorgeous couple with a beautiful new baby girl, a crazy sweet family (shout out to Chad’s brother Luke and his wife Kathleen whose wedding I photographed about 4 years ago!), and a super fun bridal party. It really was a beautiful day & I’m so glad I was able to document it for them! Enjoy this sneak peek!
Truth be told, in general I think we photographers may be the worst at getting photos UP on our walls. We preach to our clients to not let your beautiful images sit on a DVD somewhere, but to get them UP in your homes & displayed where you can enjoy them – but sadly, we have a hard time remembering that ourselves! I’m pretty sure that it’s because there are SO many photos that we have taken to choose from that we just can’t possibly decide which ones should go up! I have slowly been making myself get better at this, but this particular project has been a long time coming . I REALLY wanted a LARGE canvas display of our family, and I knew that I had to make it a priority. When I asked Lane Baldwin to take our family photos, I told her “no pressure, but I need a good collage of canvases to take up an entire wall in my living room” – Thankfully, Lane did not disappoint & I now have a wonderful collection of photos of my sweet family on our wall! For it to truly be “wall art”, I feel like you have to go big or go home. I am so happy with how it turned out!
For MY clients – I am super excited to offer 20% off all canvas orders & all print orders over $50 between NOW and Cyber Monday! Time to fill your walls with art, too! Use the code HOLIDAY2013 when checking out of your online gallery for prints, or shoot me an email for pricing/instructions on ordering gallery wrapped canvases like the ones shown in this photo.
Shelly & Matt had such a beautiful DETAIL filled wedding last week! I have loved following along with her on Pinterest and then watching her wedding ideas come to life. It was such a fun day & I was so lucky that they chose a wedding date around my schedule all to have me document it for them – what an honor!
Congrats, you two!!
There’s something about this time of year that puts me in a perpetually good mood. From the first time I feel the crispness in the breeze, I start getting excited.
Pumpkin scented everything, salted carmel mochas, turning on the fireplace.
The need for slippers, cozy hoodies, and the excuse to buy cute new boots.
Reminders to be thankful, yummy baked treats, hot chili on a cold night.
…and my favorite thing about Fall in Cincinnati, the colors. The beautifully warm oranges, reds, and yellows. And the sound of them crunching under the aformentioned cute new boots. ;)
Last year I photographed Sarah’s sister’s wedding (shout out to Jennifer & Bryan!) and loved working with their family, so I was super excited to get an email from Sarah asking if I was also available for her upcoming wedding! I love keeping it in the family! :) Sarah & Danny were SO SO SO great to work with during their engagement session & they get 1 million extra bonus points for bringing me a homemade apple pie! Seriously, how sweet are they?! Enjoy this little peek into their session!
