Long time, no blog!  Getting myself caught up now!

Sara & Brian are expecting their first child, a little girl shortly!  Maternity sessions with new parents-to-be are always so fun, full of anticipation, excitement, and lots of talk about all things babies (…which I love!)

Here are a few of my favorites from our time together…

Congrats to you both!  Enjoy your sweet girl!

I walked in to a house full of laughter, sunshine, make-up, curling irons, and smiles.  As soon as I entered Lauren’s parents house last Saturday, I knew it was going to be a great day.  As Lauren sat at the dining room table doing her make-up, the sun beaming through the window from across the lake, family members were coming to her, hugging & kissing.  A few of them were guys… which I later found out were her brothers.  Seeing a girl so loved by even her “manly” brothers on her wedding day made me hope that my kids are some day the same with each other.  The overwhelming joy from the entire household was thick enough to be cut with a knife.

Lauren & Tim are quite the duo.  I was thrilled to see that the same love I felt in her house that morning, was spilling out between the two of them through out the entire day.  They’re crazy in love, those two…. and the way Tim loves Lauren is absolutely adorable.

Their ceremony was held at the stunning Basilica of the Assumption in Covington, KY.

The reception was held at one of my favorite venues in our area, the Krippendorf Lodge at the Cincinnati Nature Center.

Lauren, you’re a beauty outside & in.

Tim, you’re a total stud in this shot… If I do say so myself. :)

Soooo, Tim & Lauren are also REALLY funny. Like, they need their own TV show. I had to include one of them just being their goofy selves.

Since they’re movie lovers, they decided to number their tables with movie titles (example… this table, which of course was my favorite, was table number 2… LOVE this idea!)

They also love sushi….

…and (of course) I cried through the father/daughter dance… It was SO sweet.

Congrats, you crazy lovebirds, you! :) Thank you so much for letting me document your perfect day!

Casey is UK bound in just a few short months & a proud 2010 graduate of a local school here.  Senior sessions are a favorite of mine, though I don’t do much of them, because seniors are just so FUN to work with!  Spread the word folks – I DO offer senior photography!  :)

Here are a few from our shoot last week….

Casey’s list of hobbies & interests is topped with “SHOPPING!” so I decided a little shopping trip during our shoot was appropriate.  ;)

Casey has an awesome personality and is a knock out. Watch out UK!

We thought this session might never happen.  While I am apparently the “Sunshine Photographer” for wedding days, the same does not ring true for engagement sessions.  Poor Camille & Darian had to reschedule twice for this shoot… Camille recently moved here from “Hotlanta” and I tried telling her that Cincinnati weather really doesn’t always stink like it has been lately.  Thankfully, the Cincinnati “gods” heard me in my plea to show her that the Queen City really does rock, and delivered the ABSOLUTE best weather I’ve shot in for quite some time on Tuesday night.  No rain, no heat… just perfect.  I’m so glad that after having to reschedule, it all worked out well in the end!

So the best word to sum up this shoot is HOT.  …and you know I’m not talking about the weather.  I could title each of these photos “hotness”, because they both rocked out the camera so well.  Awesome weather, super sweet couple, and beautiful to boot.  Can’t ask for more.  (Shout out to Chenese Bean for a gorgeous job on Camille’s make-up!)

First of all, a big shout out to Nada… Camille & Darian had their first date here, and will be having their rehearsal dinner here as well.  We thought it would be a great place to start off our session, and they were so accommodating!  (…and holy yum, everything around me looked & smelled so delish… I can’t believe I haven’t ate here before!)

Right inside that window is where these two will be tying the knot next year… At the Contemporary Arts Center. I can’t wait for your wedding day, guys!

I snagged this quote listed as one of Jessica’s favorites off her facebook account:

“The basic thing is that everyone wants happiness, no one wants suffering.  And happiness mainly comes from our own attitude, rather than from external factors.  If your own mental attitude is correct, even if you remain in a hostile atmosphere, you feel happy.”
~ The Dalai Lama

When I read that I thought of how perfect of a quote that is for these two.  They both have THE best attitudes… the kind of people you just want to be around because they really enjoy life.  I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again… I really, truly, am blessed to have such amazing couples.  Jessica & Eric are just a joy to be around, and as I found out Saturday, so are their families.

The wedding day started off with a little pampering at The Parlour on the Avenue in Harrison, Ohio.

I have a thing for black & white make-up shots, and I’m loving the vintage-twist on these two…

Jessica’s bouquet was made by the talented guy & gals at McCabe’s Greenhouse & Floral, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana…

Their ceremony was held at St. Martin’s Church in Guilford, Indiana.

Fact:  I’ve been jealous of Jessica’s eyes since their engagement session.  So gorgeous.

They danced the night away at The Woodlands, in Cleves, Ohio.

SO very happy for you guys!  Thank you for including me in your special day!!  xoxo
