While Valentine’s Day can easily become just another day to spend money on things we really don’t need, all in the name of guilt, it can also be a great opportunity to reflect on the love(s) of your life. There are the V-day haters who say that Valentine’s Day should be EVERY day & not just once a year, but I am logical about this (which I rarely am). For me, life is busy. Dishes pile up. Laundry needs done. The tire is flat. The toddler spilled his juice. The dog next door won’t stop barking all night long. Dinners are rushed. Bedtime comes too quick. So for me, having the excuse to get a babysitter, relax together, enjoy conversation, take our time, listen to good music, eat good food (that I didn’t cook…) can’t come every day of the year. When it does come, it’s lovely. …and Valentine’s Day is a great excuse to do that
Of course, the sweets are nice to have too ![]()
